Explanation
Lightweight! The BETA-4 is attractive for its low-noise, versatile tone.
Born from the concept of reproducing the feel of Atelier Z’s flagship “Magnitude” series even in a 24-fret specification, the Beta series was created.
Featuring a standard ATELIER Z wood construction with an ash body and maple fingerboard, a deep cutaway has been added for easier access to the high frets.
The pickup is equipped with an original ATELIER Z model. The preamp is also equipped with ATELIER Z’s original EQ-X2, and the controls are 2-volume, 2-band EQ with Bass/treble.
Among ATELIER Z’s Bass models, this is a fairly lightweight instrument at approximately 3.9 kg. While retaining the quick, responsive Ateli-era sound typical of low-action setups, compared with models equipped with Bartolini XTCT, it gives the impression of having less character and being a sound that can handle a wider range of genres.
Highly recommended for those who feel M#245 has “a little too much character.”
