Used very rarely. While there are minor scuffs and some dust from the manufacturing process, it is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches, peeling paint, or dents. All soft parts have been replaced. Rotary valves have been disassembled and cleaned. Fully serviced.

The Antoine Courtois “CREATION New York” is a wide-bore tenor bass trombone developed in collaboration with Mr. Weston Sprott, a trombonist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York. It is the first Courtois model to feature a detachable bell and is an ambitious design that builds upon the traditional “Legend” model, incorporating a reverse-type main tube and an ergonomically designed handrest.
While the detachable bell has become a standard feature in recent years, its benefits extend beyond compact storage. In this instrument, the design—which secures the bell with a ring screw—not only provides the sound with core and cohesion but also enhances its richness and resonance. The sound produced by the 215-millimeter yellow brass bell possesses a mellow depth and a sense of scale, blending seamlessly into both orchestral and wind ensemble settings.
Furthermore, it is equipped with the Hugman valve system—a hallmark of Curtois. The airflow is exceptionally smooth, with minimal difference in playing feel between the open position and when using the F key, allowing you to effortlessly draw out the rich resonance characteristic of a large-bore tenor bass. Combined with a handrest that naturally supports the left hand, the instrument offers excellent weight balance when held, reducing strain during extended performances.
This instrument was manufactured in 2022 and has been used very sparingly. It shows only minor scratches; otherwise, it is in pristine condition with no noticeable scratches, lacquer peeling, or dents. It has been fully serviced, including rotary valve disassembly and cleaning, as well as replacement of rubber parts. It also comes with a dedicated Marcus Bonna flat case.
