Left-handed version of the American Vintage II Jazz Bass!!
The American Vintage series was first released in 1982. Production ended in 2018, and its legacy has since been carried on by series such as the American Original and American Vintage II.
This instrument is from the 2022 American Vintage II series. It features a left-handed ’66 Jazz Bass configuration not found in the original American Vintage series. It features the highly sought-after ’66 specs, including a matching headstock, paddle tuners, neck binding, and dot position marks. The slightly slimmer neck shape is also said to recreate the specifications from 1966.
Compared to the '62 Jazz Bass from the original American Vintage series, this model has a slightly higher center of gravity and a more pronounced midrange presence. Its ability to cut through an ensemble faithfully recreates the '66 sound. With a character that leans toward the modern side within the 60s range, its appeal lies in a sound that handles a wide variety of genres, from rock and pop to loud bands and vocal-oriented bands!
