The popular American Vintage series! ’62-style Precision Bass
The American Vintage series was first released in 1982. Production ended in 2018, and its legacy has since been carried on by series such as American Original and American Vintage II. Even though it has been discontinued, the American Vintage series continues to enjoy unwavering popularity.
This 2000 model reproduces the specifications of the 1962 Precision Bass. It features an alder body, a slab rosewood fingerboard, reverse-winding tuners, a three-tone sunburst finish, and a tortoiseshell pickguard.
Within the American Vintage series, the ’62 Precision Bass is less common than the Jazz Bass. It has become increasingly rare on the market.
It features a solid tonal center, delivering a well-rounded sound overall, yet it also makes a strong impression with its powerful, crisp, and lively tone. With its slim neck, it accommodates fast fingerwork and responds well to subtle picking nuances—a truly exceptional instrument!
