The American Vintage series was first released in 1982. Production ended in 2018, and its lineage has since been succeeded by series such as American Original and American Vintage II. American Vintage remains a popular series even though it has been discontinued.
This unit was manufactured in 1992. JazzBass1962 was also the golden age of jazz.BassThis '62 model faithfully reproduces the original, featuring an alder body, a slab rosewood fingerboard, stacked knobs that combine volume and tone controls for each pickup, and reverse-wound tuners, faithfully recreating all the specifications of the time.
It has a mid-low range with a sticky feel while also having a good attack—truly jazz.BassA perfect example of sound. This standard and quintessential sound can be used in a wide range of genres.
This 1992 model has developed a certain gravitas with age, and it's a guitar that I'm really looking forward to playing for a long time to come!
