Godin / A6 Ultra
Founded in Canada in 1988, Godin is a brand with a strong focus on professional settings.
“An acoustic guitar that’s truly usable in real performance environments”
—the A6 Ultra is a model that embodies this philosophy with exceptional craftsmanship.
Its most distinctive feature is Godin’s proprietary double-chamber body structure. Rather than allowing the sound
to resonate fully like a typical semi-acoustic guitar, the internal structure is skillfully divided to preserve the nuances of the natural acoustic tone while achieving remarkable resistance to feedback. Whether surrounded by monitors on stage or playing at high volumes, the performer can stay focused on the sound.
That sense of security transforms the performance itself.
In terms of sound, it features both a piezo pickup and a magnetic humbucker. The piezo captures the three-dimensional depth and airiness characteristic of an acoustic guitar,
while the humbucker provides a well-defined tone and stable output.
Furthermore, with two output jacks, you’re free to use the humbucker on its own or mix it with the piezo to create a three-dimensional sound.
From acoustic-style arpeggios to cutting riffs that won’t get lost in a band ensemble, this guitar offers the versatility to switch roles with a single instrument.
Yet, the controls are surprisingly simple.
You can dial in your sound based purely on your instincts as a guitarist, without wasting time on complicated
settings. The design philosophy honed on the front lines is clearly evident here.
This isn’t just another hybrid—it’s a guitar born from a direct focus on the realities of the performer. Rather than forcing
you to adapt to the guitar, it’s a instrument that will always stay true to your style.
