Godin / 2001 A6 COGNAC BURST RN
“An Electric Acoustic guitar that feels just like your electric guitar when you switch to it”
Godin, a Canadian guitar manufacturer.
Founded by Robert Godin, the brand is known for crafting guitars—including acoustic and classical models—that incorporate unique, innovative ideas.
The A6 we’re introducing today is a model built on the concept of “playing seamlessly even when switching from an electric guitar.”
The finish is Cognac Burst.
It features a subdued color scheme where the deep brown gradually darkens toward the outer edges, beautifully highlighting the warmth of the wood.
The first thing you’ll notice when you pick it up is how comfortable the neck feels.
With a narrow neck that feels just like an electric guitar, if you usually play electric, your fingers will move as usual the moment you pick it up. This is the perfect guitar for anyone who struggles with the thick necks typical of acoustic guitars.
Godin’s unique chambered body features a cedar top and a maple back.
The neck is mahogany, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
With the warm, responsive sound characteristic of a cedar top, the tone comes through clearly even with a light touch.
The body is thin and lightweight, so you won’t get tired even during long live performances or rehearsals.
It has a rich acoustic tone, so you can fully enjoy playing at home without an amp.
The controls—Volume and a 3-band EQ (High, Mid, Low)—are located on the side of the body.
This simple, practical layout allows you to quickly adjust your sound right on stage.
While it shows some wear and tear typical of its age, both the sound and playability are excellent.
Whether as a first guitar for an electric guitarist or as a main instrument for live performances, this Electric Acoustic guitar comes highly recommended.
