Like other TMG guitars, the JB-style HAVEN features a sound rooted in vintage tones but enhanced with modern touches.
Based on a 70s-style design featuring neck binding, block inlays, and a BADASS-style bridge, the body is crafted from lightweight swamp ash. It also incorporates modern elements with Aguilar pickups.
The aging finish is medium, with fine weather checking and a sense of age on the pickguard and metal parts, giving it a rich, mature look. The neck is crafted from roasted flame maple. Featuring distinct grain patterns that serve as a strong accent to the overall design, the neck has a smooth, silky feel—a welcome feature for fans of satin finishes.
Equipped with Aguilar pickups—which offer a wide frequency range, a rarity for a passive model—it delivers clear bass and crisp mid-to-high frequencies, resulting in a very pleasant, well-balanced sound. While it has the clean, crisp sound characteristic of a swamp ash body, there is no lack of body or harmonic richness in the midrange; it feels like it resonates beautifully whether you’re fingerstyle or slapping.
Since the natural tone is rich and clear, it sounds great through an amp or when recorded directly. Whether on stage or in the home studio, this will surely become “the one guitar you can absolutely rely on”!
