Explanation
You want a guitar with a vintage feel. But you’re worried about the maintenance required for models that are too old. Don’t you find yourself longing for a guitar that offers modern playability while still capturing the authentic charm of the past?
The Journeyman Relic was created to fulfill that very wish. The Fender Custom Shop has used modern techniques to recreate the look and feel of a guitar that seems to have been loved and passed down by several players over the years. With its subtle weather checking and ultra-thin lacquer finish, it exudes a quiet presence, as if it were etched with the memories of a journey.
This model features a slab-back design that recreates the look of early 1960s Stratocasters. The combination of a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard produces a rich, warm midrange tone.It features jumbo frets and a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard. Despite its vintage appearance, it offers comfortable playability with modern low action. Furthermore, the master volume, master tone, and blender control configuration allows all pickups to be played simultaneously, delivering an astonishingly wide range of sound variations from a single guitar.
The quick attack characteristic of an alder body and the clear harmonics produced by the lacquer finish. High-quality wood and meticulous craftsmanship promise a Strat tone that’s a cut above the rest.
Recommended for those seeking a Strat with authentic character, those who appreciate vintage aesthetics while valuing modern playability, and those who want to use a "connoisseur’s Strat" on stage.
A guitar that radiates timeless warmth the moment you touch it. It feels completely natural—so authentic that people will ask, “Wait, is that a real vintage model?” We invite you to experience that character for yourself. The Journeyman Relic: let the Strat’s journey become your story.
