—Exotic-figured rosewood
The sides and back feature Indian rosewood with a wide grain and a pale hue that gives it a unique character.
Vintage white binding and a checkered center strip add a touch of elegance.
—A top adorned with CTM-exclusive embellishments
The spruce top features the standard Vintage White binding and multicolored purfling.
The rosette is a unique decorative feature of this model.
While rosettes are typically made with multicolored celluloid, this model features additional decoration using abalone shell in addition to the multicolored celluloid.
—Striped Ebony Fingerboard
The fingerboard is made of ebony with a subtle striped pattern and features dot position markers made of mother-of-pearl.
This pattern is also proof that natural wood is used.
- Gloss-finished neck
While a satin finish is typically Martin’s default for the slim, comfortable neck, this model features a gloss finish.
This is another feature unique to the CTM.
- Bridge
The Downberry bridge is fitted with a short saddle, and the ivory bridge pins feature abalone shell dots.
ーHeadstock
The headstock, made of Indian rosewood veneer, features a Golden Era-style logo and a gloss finish.
—Tuning Machines
The tuners are GROVER open-back tuners, and the butterbean buttons lend an authentic feel.

The all-gloss finish on the D-28 is a feature exclusive to Custom Shop models.
It offers the same sense of luxury as a 40-series model, along with a rich, lustrous tone.

- There are some playwear and scratches from use, but there are no cracks, so you can play it with confidence.
- The nut and saddle have been replaced with new ones.
[Playing Condition]
- String height at the 12th fret: 2.5mm on the 6th string side, 2.0mm on the 1st string side
- Saddle height: approx. 2.0mm–3.5mm
-There is no muffled sound or buzzing; the playing condition is excellent.
