This instrument is a 5-string model of the Emperor II, which is a single-cut version of the Emperor that bears the name "Emperor".
The top is made of beautifully figured Claro walnut, and the back is also made of walnut. The neck is a 3-piece maple through-neck construction, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

The guitar is equipped with Agular pickups, but these are likely not the original (shipped-in) pickups.
The Agular is also a pickup that was originally available as a customization option for Fodera, so the look of the wood cover, while not the original factory condition, can be seen as a modification that follows the Fodera philosophy.

Additionally, it appears that the guitar had previously undergone a modification to extend the fretboard, as there are traces of rosewood repair where the fretboard end was cut, and traces of wood inlay repair on the body surface. The repairs are so well done that they are barely noticeable unless you look closely, and of course, there are no functional problems.

The rich, resonant sound of the single-cut Low-B string produces a deep, enveloping low end.
It boasts the crispness and detail characteristic of high-end audio, with a refined clarity across all frequencies and rich sustain. The sound is delicate and warm, like that of a piano.

While there are signs of some modifications, this is a well-played instrument.
