This is an early model from the launch of Terry’s Casual.

*In a magazine interview, Mr. Terry Nakamoto stated that the brand was first unveiled at the 2007 Musical Instrument Fair and sales began in 2008; based on this information, we have determined this guitar to be a 2007 model.

“Terry’s Casual” is a high-end Japanese brand packed with the meticulous attention to detail of Terry Nakamoto, one of Japan’s leading guitar designers.
His innovative designs and passion for crafting sound continue to influence many guitarists to this day.
Unfortunately, Terry Nakamoto passed away last year, but the numerous masterpieces he left behind and his spirit will continue to live on in our hands and shine forever.

His original brand, “Terry’s Terry,” is owned by such illustrious musicians as Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi and Yosui Inoue, and I imagine there are many acoustic guitar enthusiasts who dream of owning one someday.

This brand was launched in 2007 with the goal of offering a more affordable alternative to the original Terry’s Terry.

Each instrument is meticulously crafted one by one at Terada Gakki.
Since Mr. Terry Nakamoto himself handles the design and final inspection of each body, you can experience exceptional quality that is in no way inferior to the original brand.

The TC-M7 we’ve just received is a stunning instrument with distinctive decorative features, such as Avalon trim and flame maple wood binding.

Its tonal presence is also in a class of its own.
You can enjoy rich, deep bass and elegant, long sustain.
It’s the perfect tone for three-finger picking and folk songs.

Furthermore, what makes this particular instrument truly noteworthy is that its serial number is, believe it or not, #1.
While we’ve carried many Terry’s Casual guitars in the past, almost all of them had two-digit serial numbers.
Since this brand is no longer available new—
and production was limited even back then—
these instruments rarely appear on the used market. Among them,
serial #1 feels exceptionally special. It’s only natural to assume that Terry Nakamoto himself was deeply involved in its creation.

—There are minor surface scratches, some paint checking on both sides of the top and fingerboard, and scuff marks on the pickguard and surrounding areas; however, there are no cracks or crack repairs, and considering its 15 years of age, it can be described as in excellent condition.
