Gibson / 2001 Nick Lucas
In modern times, a variety of brands and models are available, and thanks to advances in technology, the environment is in place where anyone can produce stable, high-quality sound.
But precisely because we live in such an era, isn’t there a growing desire to rediscover the breathing traces left by great players of the past and the historically rich tones they created, and to incorporate them into one’s own performance?
Beyond simply good sound, more and more people are seeking guitars that can convey stories and emotion that transcend time.

Nick Lucas was a pioneer who, in the 1920s when the guitar was still seen only as an accompanying instrument, was the first to bring its expressive power to the forefront as a solo artist.
His performances, while absorbing elements of classical, jazz, and pop, succeeded in revolutionizing the guitar by making it speak.

This 2001 Nick Lucas Reissue, bearing his name, is a faithfully recreated deep-body model based on the original 1920s version.
The sound produced by the spruce top and figured maple sides and back is astonishingly clear, while retaining a core-rich midrange and warmly rounded highs.
Despite its compact size, it delivers a rich resonance and responds widely, from fingerpicking to chord strumming.
This is a serious instrument designed not as a “vintage guitar for nostalgia,” but to bring Nick Lucas’s musical philosophy and performance ideals to life on modern stages and in studios.

For those who love jazz, blues, and fingerstyle, and who seek deep aesthetics and thought in a guitar,
the true value of this Nick Lucas Reissue will surely resonate with you, someone who can find value in the “background” of music.
