SEAGULL by M. Shiozaki / 2000 SS-82L
"A masterpiece crafted by an artisan who pursued the essence of vintage Martin guitars"
M. Shiozaki Stringed Instrument Workshop in Ehime Prefecture, Shikoku
SEAGULL by M. Shiozaki, crafted by Masaki Shiozaki, founder and luthier
This 000-size guitar features a spruce top with a delicate, translucent beauty.

The sides and back are crafted from Brazilian rosewood, a rare wood prized for its beautiful, undulating grain.

The rosette and purfling feature luxurious ornamentation reminiscent of the Martin 42.
The finish is designed to delight the eye as well as the ear.

Snowflake inlays are meticulously embedded into the fingerboard, clearly indicating this is a guitar designed for the discerning connoisseur.

The mahogany neck has a V-shape, providing a comfortable grip and smooth chord changes.

The open-back tuning machines are made by Weverly, the same brand used on Martin’s Vintage Reissue models.

Another key feature not to be missed is the long saddle, a hallmark of pre-war Martin guitars.

[Staff Comment: Mochizuki]

Despite its 000-shaped body, this guitar is characterized by a sound that is neither too bright nor too subdued, but rather pleasantly mellow, with deep bass tones enveloping the entire sound.
It also produces a bright, three-dimensional sound when strummed.
This is a highly recommended instrument for those seeking an authentic Japanese-made model.
