Explanation
Gibson / 2000 SJ-200 VINE
"For those seeking an artistic guitar..."
A work of art that appears when you open the guitar case.
Master Luthier of Gibson Custom ShopRen FergusonLet me introduce you to the artistic SJ-200 VINE created by [artist's name]. The guitars he creates feature artistic inlay work, including plants that evoke a sense of vitality. His artistic sensibilities were influenced by his mother, who was a draftsman and sculptor.Ren FergusonHe says.
—The art of vines that evokes a strong sense of vitality
Ren FergusonOne of the defining features of the guitars he works on is the artistic vine inlay that covers the entire fretboard and the carving on the pickguard. The iridescent vine inlay within the ebony is so breathtaking that it will take your breath away the moment you see it.
The large tortoiseshell pickguard, framed with white celluloid, features hand-carved vine motifs throughout, with white ink highlighting the design.
The finely grained spruce body is accentuated by abalone purfling and rosette, highlighting the SJ body's distinctive character.
The sides and back are made of beautiful flame maple, and are trimmed with abalone, just like the top. The backstrip is Pattern A, which was seen around 1940.RecruitIt is being done.
While ebony open mustache bridges typically feature only mother-of-pearl inlays, this one has additional abalone decoration surrounding the square inlays. This specification is probably something you'd only find on a custom guitar.
The neck is made of flame maple with a rosewood center section, creating a 3-piece construction.
The headstock features a Gibson script logo, along with a dazzling vine inlay. Furthermore, the bell-shaped truss rod cover is made of mother-of-pearl and has been carefully beveled. The headstock is wrapped in multi-binding.
The tuning machines are Waverly open-back pegs.RecruitFurthermore, each gold button is engraved with a vine design. It offers a different kind of luxury compared to the Imperial or Waffleback models.
What do you think? This is a superb item that offers a different kind of charm compared to the classic SJ-200. There are some minor scratches and weather checking, but there are no noticeable scratches or dents, and it remains in very clean condition.
This is an item that will make you feel like you own something truly special.
