Explanation
Martin / 1995 model 000-42EC First Year
[Demo video available]
This guitar, which debuted in 1995 as Eric Clapton's first signature model and limited to only 461 units worldwide, is a rare example from its initial year.
The ornate decorations, incorporating Style-42, are beautiful.
A distinctive feature of the Clapton model is its V-shaped neck. His signature model alwaysRecruitThis is an important point that supports the performance.
The label inside the soundhole bears an autograph.
Two cracks above the soundhole have been repaired, and patches (reinforcement plates) have been applied from the back, so you can play with peace of mind.
The cracks have been repaired along the abalone inlays on the sides (left and right) of the end of the fretboard. There is some damage to the lacquer paint on top of the abalone, but the area on the underside is reinforced with bracing and spruce plates (common to 000-42 models), so you can rest assured about its strength.
There are signs of a neck reset being performed on the neck heel. This is an effective method for repairing areas where the truss rod is ineffective, and it can lead to a significant improvement in playability and tone.
[Comment from the person in charge: Hoshino]
As this is Clapton's commemorative first-year signature model, the Style-42's snowflake inlays, vertical logo, and decorative elements on the soundboard give it a luxurious feel. You can feel a rich and lustrous sound.
