Taylor / 1994 Model 810
Taylor Guitars was founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listag.
Continuing to produce original products unlike previous acoustic guitars, featuring a wide variety of body styles and a unique pickup system, Taylor rose to become the No. 1 acoustic guitar brand in the US in 2016, surpassing Gibson and Martin.
Taylor manufactures its guitars and cases at factories in El Cajon, California, and Tecate, Mexico.
The El Cajon factory produces models above the 300 series, while the Tecate factory manufactures the Academy series, the 200 series, and Taylor guitar cases.
This division of production allows the craftsmen at each factory to thoroughly manage and manufacture their specific products.
Within the lineup spanning models 100 to 900, the model we're introducing this time is the 810, a high-end model manufactured in 1994.
All Taylor models are managed by their model numbers.
Breaking down the 810: 8 = 800 series / 1 = Spruce top / 0 = Dreadnought size.
Additionally, some models end with "ce" or "e": ce = Cutaway, pickup-equipped model / e = Pickup-equipped model. This particular model was originally built without a pickup.
It embodies Taylor Guitar's confidence in the quality and sound of their premium class.
Furthermore, during this period, the detachable construction differed, characterized by being secured with two bolts on the neck block side (currently, there is also a bolt toward the fingerboard end, totaling three bolts).
The sound features Taylor's signature sparkling, extended sustain and rich, expansive harmonics.
Taylor guitars are known for cutting through band ensembles, and this model delivers a truly great sound with a powerful low end perfectly matched to its lustrous highs.
Equip it with your preferred pickup, and it becomes a versatile instrument for street performances and live gigs alike.
Experience the charm of the Taylor 810 for yourself.
