“A D-35 Adorned with Elegant Decorations”
The top features spruce with the same inlay as the D-45 and is finished in Martin’s signature Shaded color.
Black trim accentuates the body shape.
The pickguard retains its original condition, showcasing a lustrous, pale tortoiseshell-like patina.
Rosewood is used for the sides and back.
Like the D-35, the back is made of three-piece rosewood, and the back strip features a multicolored design similar to the D-45.
As with the top, it is wrapped in black celluloid.
The fingerboard is made of ebony and is adorned with snowflake inlays.
The sides of the fingerboard feature black celluloid with white lines.
The Downberry bridge is fitted with a short saddle.
The mahogany neck features a V-shape profile. It has just the
right thickness for a solid, comfortable grip.
The headstock, veneered with rosewood, features a gleaming torch inlay made of abalone shell.
Schaller M6 tuning machines ensure
stable tuning.

- While there are play-induced scratches, scuffs, and weather checking, the instrument retains the unique character typical of vintage pieces.
- There is a crack in the lower-left corner of the pickguard; however, since the X-bracing overlaps the crack on the back, there are no structural issues.
- There is a crack repair in the lower-left area toward the center of the body.
- There are signs that the neck has been reset.
- Slight lifting is visible along the bottom edge of the pickguard.
[Playing Condition]
- There are no muffled tones or buzzing, and the instrument plays well.
- String action at the 12th fret: 2.5 mm on the 6th string side, 2.1 mm
on the 1st string side. - Saddle projection: approx. 1.5 mm
