YAMAHA / 1975 L-15
The L Series was born with the aim of creating guitars of the highest quality by combining the traditional acoustic guitar style with Yamaha's woodworking techniques and design expertise cultivated over many years, embodying the concept of "Luxury".
The L-15 model debuted in 1975, and this instrument is an extremely rare example crafted in its inaugural year, featuring the coveted and popular Western-style specifications.

The top is crafted from premium solid Ezo spruce.
Ezo spruce, grown in the harsh cold climate of Hokkaido, features fine annual rings, delivering exceptional attack and projection.
The crisp, clean sound from the very first note is likely due to this wood.
The sides and back are crafted from Brazilian rosewood.
Its deeply intricate grain patterns emerge when exposed to light, radiating a lifelike vitality as if carved directly from nature.
The decoration appears understated, yet details like the wood inlay position markers and multi-binding reveal a truly remarkable piece the more you look.
It possesses a refined beauty reminiscent of Japanese craftsmanship.

The sound delivers the resonant body tone characteristic of a Western-style body, with deep bass.
Yet, the distinctive high and mid-range of rosewood emerges, making chord contours stand out clearly.
It feels great even with strong strumming, yet when lightly plucked, the well-defined overtones linger delicately.
Even after half a century, the reason this instrument still envelops the player is that the spirit of the craftsmen who sought to create an honest sound lives on within it.
