Explanation
Martin / 1975 D-45
[Demo Video]
Weather checking is visible on the rosette and various parts of the body, but there are no cracks in the wood and the condition is good.
The pickguard has been replaced. This is a common repair seen on vintage Martin guitars because the pickguard material and the wood shrinkage differ, leading to cracking. This prevents cracks in the wood and keeps it in good condition.
The difference in materials between the nut and the saddle suggests that the saddle has been replaced.
A strap pin has been added to the neck heel, which is very convenient for those who play with a strap.
One indication that the guitar is being played with a pickup installed is that the endpin hole has been enlarged. This indicates that the pickup input jack was added during installation.
It appears that the neck has been reset. Since it's not an adjustable truss rod, this process is performed to ensure proper string height and playability. Therefore, it maintains a neck condition that allows it to be used actively even in the future.
[Comment from the person in charge: Hoshino]
Perhaps due to the large bridge plate, it features a tone that is bright yet has a pleasant fullness. Of course, when you play a chord, the third and fifth intervals, as well as the rich, beautifully expanding overtones, spread throughout the entire sound.
