Martin / 1973 D-35
The D-35, introduced in 1965, remains highly popular to this day.
Unlike the D-38, it features subtle differences in ornamentation and wood configuration.
- 3-piece rosewood back
Indian rosewood is used for the sides and back, and the back features a three-piece construction.
Accordingly, the internal bracing consists of two pieces.

—Top Wood
Fine-grained spruce is used, and its slightly amber-colored finish gives it a vintage look.
The Dreadnought body features multi-colored inlays combining white and black celluloid.

- Fingerboard
The ebony fingerboard features dot position marks.
Additionally, white binding runs along the sides of the fingerboard, serving as a key distinguishing feature when viewing the D-35 from the front.

—Bridge
The ebony down-belly bridge is fitted with short saddles.
The bridge pins feature white dots.
The patina that develops over time is simply irresistible.

—Neck
The mahogany neck features a soft V-shape with just the right thickness; this thickness may be one of the factors contributing to its rich and vibrant tone.

—Headstock
The headstock, made of Indian rosewood veneer, has a slightly angular shape and features the Martin Classic logo.

—Tuning Machines
The tuners are GROVER 102.
The flat-head screws, a hallmark of the 1970s, are a detail appreciated by connoisseurs.

[Staff Comment: Hoshino]

With a brilliance distinct from the D-28 and a design featuring three layers of straight-grained Indian rosewood, this model captivates players.
Please experience the unique charm that only the D-35 can offer.
