The TelecasterBass with its rich, deep bass!
The PrecisionBass, Fender's first solid-body electricBass, released in 1951.Released in 1968 with specifications nearly identical to the original 1951 Precision Bass, the Telecaster became Fender's first reissue model. Subsequently, in 1972, the specifications were changed to include a three-point neck plate, a bullet truss rod adjustable from the headstock, and a humbucking pickup mounted closer to the neck position.
This particular instrument is a 1973 model equipped with that humbucking pickup.
The crack on the body top affects only the finish and does not reach the wood. There was a wood crack on the body back, but it has been thoroughly repaired at our partner workshop. Additionally, there is a chip in the wood between the neck pocket and the pickup routing, but none of these affect the guitar's structural integrity.
The humbucker set near the neck end produces a fat, boomy sound. It offers a rich, Gibson EB-style thickness while maintaining the crisp attack characteristic of ash/maple, resulting in a well-balanced tone. This guitar lets you fully enjoy the unique character of the humbucker era, distinct from the early TelecasterBass single-coil models.
