Explanation
The last Stratocaster to retain the flavor of the 60s
The 1970s were the era of the most drastic specification changes for the Stratocaster. By the end of 1971, it had been changed to a bullet nut and a three-bolt neck, followed by double string guides in 1972, and flat pole pieces in 1974, resulting in significant changes to both the sound and playability.
Among them, the 1970 model is the last Stratocaster to retain the characteristics of the 1960s. It is a special year where tradition and innovation intersected, and it is a highly valued era among vintage guitar enthusiasts.
This particular instrument is finished in a classic 3-tone sunburst. The body top shows natural paint chipping from picking and the red fading characteristic of this era, giving it an authentic vintage look. The pickup selector has also been replaced with a 5-way switch, allowing for half-tone sounds that were not possible with the original.
The sound is truly unique, combining the crisp tone characteristic of the 70s with a strong mid-range attack. It's sparkling when clean, and transforms into a robust, edgy sound when driven. This Stratocaster embodies the spirit of the 60s while reflecting the changing times.
Alder/rosewood models from this year are already rare, and examples in excellent condition and sound are scarce on the market. A 1970 Stratocaster that has survived a time of change. Let this one guitar breathe the spirit of the 60s into your playing.
