Gibson / 1969 B-25
The B-25 was introduced in 1962.
As the successor to the LG-2, the B-25 shares the same body size, X-bracing, and wood materials as the LG-2.
Since the LG-2’s adjustable saddle began appearing around 1960, the B-25 also carries on that legacy.
The distinctive feature of this instrument is its bridge.
While B-25 models produced up to 1968 featured an upper bridge (adjustable saddle), this 1969 model was modified to a down-belly bridge (adjustable saddle).
Another difference in internal structure is the bridge plate: while the 1968 model is secured by a total of four screws (two on each side) for both the bridge and the adjustable saddle, this 1969 model is secured by only two screws on the left and right sides of the adjustable saddle, which is quite interesting.
This difference might even result in a noticeable change in the resonance of the sound.

"I want a more affordable vintage guitar!"
For those looking for just that, the small-bodied B-25 is a great choice.
Compared to the company’s J-45, J-200, and Hummingbird models, you can get it for about a third of the price.
Combined with its X-bracing and adjustable saddle, it offers a delightful balance of lightness and a bright, resonant tone.

- There are signs that the top of the bridge has been shaved down.
