Gibson / 1968 B-25N
The B-25N is a small-body model introduced as the successor to the LG-3.
However, various specifications changed with the model change, and while similar to the LG-3, this instrument is packed with its own unique appeal.
- Up-Byrd Bridge & Adjustable Saddles
While the LG-3 featured a rectangular bridge with a fixed saddle, this model employs a wooden Upberry bridge paired with a wooden adjustable saddle.
This combination produces a uniquely airy, refreshing tone with a pleasantly tightened quality.

The top is made of spruce and finished in a natural color.
This specification can be seen as a continuation of the LG-3.
Weather checking and visible scratches in places hint at its active performance history.
The bracing pattern is non-scalloped X-bracing.

A large pickguard is fitted, though specifications changed after 1964 to a thicker, reddish pickguard.
This instrument also bears the Gibson logo.
A natural-colored guitar with this type of pickguard is a rare find.

Mahogany is used for the sides and back, finished in dark brown.
Weather checking, like on the top, enhances its vintage character.

The fingerboard is rosewood. Due to the narrow neck specification common at the time, the nut width is approximately 39.5mm.

The neck is mahogany, with a comfortable grip thanks to its moderate thickness, perfectly matched to the narrow neck.

The headstock features only Gibson's silk-screen logo, a simple specification characteristic of the L and B series designs.
A one-piece bell-shaped truss rod cover is employed.

KLUSON DELUXE triple-lock tuning machines are used.

The B-25's unique appeal lies in its easy-to-hold body size, slim neck profile, and unparalleled sound from its adjustable saddle.
It's also relatively affordable among vintage Gibson guitars, making it a great choice for a first vintage guitar.
