Gibson / 1962 J-45
"From Sunburst to Cherry Sunburst"
The J-45, which previously appeared in a sunburst color, will now be available in a new color.
Around 1960, the Cherry Sunburst color, featuring a reddish hue, began to appear.
The vibrant cherry color and yellow contrast not only symbolize the era but also captivate both the performer and the listener.

- Cherry color that shows various expressions
The round body, made of spruce, features a cherry sunburst finish with a cherry color applied along the body's contours and gradually transitioning to a yellow color towards the center.
Unlike sunburst finishes, these are popular for their vibrant colors.

The sides and back are made of mahogany with a tight grain.
While the Sunburst model has a natural finish, this one is finished in a cherry color.
You can see the mahogany grain peeking through the cherry color.

The neck was made of mahogany, and in the 1960s, the specifications were changed to a slimmer shape.

The rosewood upper belly bridge features a ceramic adjustable saddle.
In the 1960s, adjustable saddles, which had previously been an option, became standard equipment.

The pickguard specifications changed from small pickguards to large pickguards starting in 1955.
Sunburst models use a brown pickguard, while cherry sunburst models use a reddish pickguard to match the body color.

The headstock features a Gibson silkscreen logo, and the head angle is set to 17 degrees.

The guitar is equipped with KLUSON 3-in-line tuners with white buttons.
The stylish look complements the small head.

Aside from a repair of a crack around the soundhole, this instrument is in excellent condition with no major damage.
Also, I think many people are looking for a cherry sunburst finish with a 43mm neck width.
This is because, starting in 1965, it underwent a transformation to a narrow neck specification with a nut width of 39mm.
If you prefer a guitar with a standard neck width (43mm) rather than a thinner one, be sure to check this out.
