- D-28 with specifications up to 1964
The ebony downbelly bridge is fitted with a long saddle. This specification was in use from around 1934 to 1964.RecruitLater, it was changed to a short saddle. The bridge has been replaced, but it has been very neatly manufactured and glued.
The maple bridge plate has been reinforced with the same maple wood because the strap pin holes had worn down due to years of playing. This also affects the tuning and tone, and you can see from the photos that it has been carefully repaired.
The tortoiseshell pickguard is the reddish type.RecruitIt is being done. This specification was in use until around 1965.RecruitSubsequently, they were changed to black.
The top is made of spruce and features multi-colored purfling and ivoroid binding.
The sides and back are made of beautiful striped Brazilian rosewood, and like the top binding, it is finished with ivoroid.RecruitIt is being done.
The fretboard is made of ebony.RecruitAnd the mother-of-pearl position markersRecruitIt is being done. A distinctive feature is that the size of the dots decreases as you move towards the higher frets.
The neck is made of mahogany and features a thick, V-shaped neck profile. The neck has been over-lacquered. A strap pin has been added to the heel.
The headstock, made of Brazilian rosewood veneer, has a rounded shape, and the top of the headstock is over-lacquered towards the sides.
The tuning machines are Grover 102s with a patent stamp. The headstock and back have also been over-lacquered.

The sound quality is so good that you realize just how much care has been taken in repairing it. The wide range and the way the sound spreads give it a different kind of charm compared to other D-28s. This is a special guitar that retains the specifications of the mid-1960s.

[Repair/modification history / replacement parts / exterior condition, etc.] *This information is based on our inspection of used/vintage items. Please be aware of this in advance. - There is a repaired crack on the upper left of the body top. -There is paint peeling on the right side of the body (waist area). -Evidence of a neck reset can be seen. -The bridge has been replaced. - The string holes on the bridge plate have been reinforced and repaired. - The saddle has been replaced with one made of ivory. -The neck (excluding the fretboard) and headstock (including the sides) have been over-lacquered. -A strap pin has been added to the neck heel.
[Playing condition] - There are no muffled or buzzing sounds, and the playing condition is excellent. -String height at the 12th fret: 6th string side 2.7mm, 1st string side 2.1mm - Saddle protrusion: Approximately 2.0 mm
