This includes the 1952 Blackguard model, and the rosewood slab fretboard models produced from around 1959 to mid-1962.RecruitThe Telecaster is a prime example of this. Even today, owning an original Telecaster remains an eternal dream for many Telecaster fans.
This 1960 Telecaster features a classic blonde finish, a lightweight ash body, and a slab-type rosewood fingerboard. The ash wood's natural grain allows for rich tone, resulting in a beautiful, resonant sound even acoustically.
The neck shape is also superb; it's not just a simple C-shape, but has a subtle edge that softens slightly in the lower positions, and gradually thickens towards the higher positions, creating an exquisite grip. It's comfortable enough to hold for long playing sessions without tiring your hands, and you'll naturally want to keep playing.
In terms of circuitry, the original front preset tone has been removed, and it has been modified to allow tone control to function in both the mix position and the front position, in a more modern style. It also boasts user-friendly specifications.
A solid, focused sound image with beautifully layered harmonics creates a three-dimensional sound. The high frequencies are free of harshness, and both the front and rear pickups deliver the crispness and balance characteristic of a Telecaster—truly the quintessential slab-board Telecaster sound. This unique tone offers a special experience that can only be found in an original vintage instrument.
