Gibson / 1957 J-200
A striking 1957 J-200N with a golden look and densely packed checkered pattern.
The finish on the entire body and neck has become darker.
In stark contrast to the inherent elegance of natural colors,
It exudes a dignified presence that can only be achieved through the passage of time.
The body sides and back have intricate flame patterns.
It displays a unique and distinctive look that is characteristic of maple wood.
The pickguard is in the style of the late 1950s, with the border line removed for a simpler design.
The mustache bridge, which adds a touch of luxury to the Super Jumbo, is made of dark Brazilian rosewood and perfectly matches the aged body.
In contrast, the Brazilian rosewood fretboard has a slightly reddish tint. It's dense and also wonderful.
The frets are original, and around this time, slightly wider, larger-sized frets were used.
This late 1950s neck has a substantial feel and is essential to the powerful sound of this vintage J-200.
Despite its wild appearance, you can enjoy a rich, well-balanced tone.
The richness of the bass and the breadth of the sound are quite similar to the J-200 Natural from the 1950s.
Even amidst all that, the high notes are distinct and crisp, which is really lovely.
