Stately 1957 Les Paul Special !

Les Paul Special was released in 1955, one year after Custom and Junior.
The basic specs are similar to those of Les Paul Junior, with mahogany body and P-90, but with mother-of-pearl head logo, fingerboard side banding, and 2 PUs, it is positioned between Standard and Junior in terms of specs.
In addition to the specification differences, the lime-dark mahogany finish used on the Les Paul TV (commonly known as TV yellow) is used to establish the impression that Special = TV yellow.
