The tone is tight yet somehow gentle—perhaps due in large part to the slot saddle.
Overall, this J-45 features scratches and weather checking from years of use that only enhance its character.

- A crack has been repaired in the upper right corner of the soundhole (extending toward the side of the fingerboard).
- A crack has been repaired in the lower right corner of the soundhole (along the pickguard). - The
endpin hole has been filled, and a metal strap pin has been reinstalled.
- The nut and saddle have been replaced.
- There is a small chip in the wood immediately to the right of the mother-of-pearl dot next to the endpin for the 1st string on the bridge; however, please rest assured that this does not affect the instrument’s structural integrity or playability.
[Playing Condition]
- There is no muffled sound or buzzing; the instrument plays well.
- String action at the 12th fret: 2.5 mm on the 6th string side, 2.1 mm on the 1st string side. -
Saddle height: approx. 2.0 mm to 3.0 mm
