We have received a legendary acoustic archtop guitar from the original New York era.
This is the "Deluxe" model, the next luxury model after the "Emperor."

The body width was also designed to be slightly smaller than the "Emperor," at 17 3/8 inches.
This particular model is a special edition, made in the same 18 1/2-inch size as the "Emperor" model.
Looking at the 1953 catalog,
Given that this size was part of their lineup, it can be inferred that this specification was only used for a very short period in the early 1950s.

The exceptional craftsmanship of New York artisans, who stand shoulder to shoulder with Gibson in the history of archtop guitars.
The handcrafted body is made from shimmering blonde spruce and beautifully figured maple.
The antique-style gold hardware, combined with the replaced but still elegant pearl-patterned pickguard, creates a luxurious visual appearance befitting the "Deluxe" name.

The fretboard is made of carefully selected rosewood, and the beautiful mother-of-pearl inlays blend in perfectly with it.
The Epsilon tuners, characterized by the "E" logo on the headstock, are extremely rare and high-end parts that were even used at the Kalamazoo factory after Gibson's acquisition of the guitar.

Please be aware of this in advance.
- There were three cracks on the top of the body and two on the back of the body, but these have been repaired with adhesive at our shop and there are no problems with its use.
- Pickguard replacement
- The screws on the tuning pegs have been replaced.
- The cell binding on the fretboard has been replaced/repaired from the 1st string side, starting from the 15th fret.

[Playing condition]
-String height at the 12th fret: 2.2mm on the 6th string side, 1.8mm on the 1st string side
- The saddle is already lowered all the way, so the neck angle would need to be adjusted to lower the string height any further.
The neck has a comfortable, soft V-shape with just the right thickness. Even in its current state, it offers a soft touch and a stress-free playing experience. Its playing condition is excellent, showing no signs of its age of over 70 years.
