Martin / 2024 Model 000-28 Standard
“Martin” has continued to weave the very history of the acoustic guitar,
and the “000-28”
stands alongside the “D-28” as a timeless standard.
Designed to be slightly smaller than a Dreadnought, the Triple-O body fits comfortably against your body the moment you wrap your arm around it.
As a model produced before the major overhaul of the Standard Series, one of its key attractions is that it retains the classic feel and sound that have been cherished for decades as the quintessential “000-28.”
While the new specifications introduced in 2025 and beyond feature “GE (Golden Era) Spruce Bracing,” which produces a vintage-like, full-bodied resonance, the 2024 model retains the “Standard Scalloped X-Bracing,” characterized by a tight, cohesive, and refined tone, allowing it to produce the classic Martin sound that has been beloved for so many years.
While the bridge has evolved into the “Modern Berry Bridge” to improve sustain, the 2024 model features the traditional “Standard Berry Bridge,” allowing you to directly experience its unadulterated, natural response and the crisp, clean tone unique to the Triple-O.

While the new specification features a “thin bevel (rolled edge)” on the fingerboard edge, the 2024 model retains the traditional edge line, providing a familiar grip that feels natural to players accustomed to the conventional playing experience.

In terms of design, while the neck transition has been updated to a “long diamond (volute),” the 2024 model retains a compact volute.

Thanks to the 24.9-inch short scale, the string tension is remarkably supple, delivering exceptional playability that allows fingers to glide effortlessly across the fingerboard.
The sound emanating from the classic combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood sides and back unfolds in layers of rich, lustrous overtones that are a delight to the ear.
It responds to the delicate plucking of fingerstyle with a clarity that makes every note ring out, and when you strum chords with a pick, a rich, cohesive body resonance—far beyond what you’d expect from such a compact body—fills the space.

With a tone that masterfully blends delicacy and power, this guitar boasts the versatility to perfectly translate the player’s every emotion into sound.
