The LOTUS CLASSIC is the most well-rounded B♭ trumpet in the lineup, featuring a standard 130mm bell.Based on the widely popular 37-series bell taper, LOTUS’s unique design refines intonation balance and response. While offering a familiar feel and a bright, brilliant tone, this model delivers the quick response and free-flowing playing experience characteristic of LOTUS from the moment you begin playing.
The bell is crafted from a single piece of yellow brass. The receiver is made from lightweight, machined bronze, and the leadpipe is crafted from lightweight yellow brass with a wall thickness of 0.6 mm.The high-precision machined mouthpipe clearly defines the center of the tone without hindering responsiveness, reacting quickly from soft to loud dynamics and across the high register. Combined with the medium-weight, nimble body, it allows the player to produce sound without exerting unnecessary force, faithfully translating the player’s breath and nuances into sound.
Part of the CLASSIC’s appeal lies in its versatility—it isn’t overly tailored to any specific genre. In jazz solos, it projects a bright, clear sound; in ensemble playing, it blends easily with others in terms of tone and projection; and it performs seamlessly in classical and wind band settings as well. For players who want to master the quintessential trumpet sound with greater ease and freedom, the LOTUS is the instrument that responds most naturally to their needs.
Furthermore, three types of tuning slides are available: yellow brass, phosphor bronze, and nickel silver. Yellow brass offers a flexible, traditional feel; bronze provides a richer, more stable resonance; and nickel silver adds brilliance while defining the sound’s contours. The ability to fine-tune the feel to match your playing style and desired tone is unique to the LOTUS.
