A rare, discontinued Warwick model!
Founded in 1982, the Warwick brand has grown into a manufacturer beloved by musicians—both professional and amateur—with each model embodying the essence of German craftsmanship.
The FORTRESS ONE, released in the 1990s, featured PJ-type pickups. This FORTRESS MASTERMAN model was developed based on the FORTRESS ONE.
Featuring a solid maple body—a specification not found in the standard versions of other models—it boasts a distinctive look characterized by boldly protruding long horns and a deep cutaway. The body is thinly carved to reduce weight while ensuring stable playing performance.
The FORTRESS MASTERMAN is equipped with the MEC Twin-J pickup. This double-coil humbucker structure houses two J-type pickups in a single housing, allowing independent control of treble and bass for each coil.
While the pickup configuration is classified as Music Man-style, it also features a balancer control in addition to the aforementioned controls, allowing for an incredibly wide range of sound shaping! With the clear tone characteristic of Warwick, this rare yet highly versatile model covers everything from mellow tones to heavy, punchy sounds!
