Explanation
From authentic Fender tones to powerful active sounds!
The Deluxe series, part of Fender’s modern-spec lineup, is manufactured at Fender’s Mexico plant.
The Fender Mexico Deluxe Active Jazz Bass is crafted at the Fender Ensenada factory. It follows the design of the 1960s Fender Jazz Bass with traditional specifications—an alder body and rosewood fingerboard—and features an active circuit that allows for boost and cut of treble, midrange, and bass, enabling a wide range of tone shaping.
This model is a modified version equipped with Seymour Duncan STK-J2 pickups. The controls consist of Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, and a 3-band EQ; the responsive EQ allows for a wide range of sound shaping.
The stacked-type pickups deliver a fat and powerful sound. With the EQ set to flat, it produces a natural, uncolored sound characteristic of Fender; when the mids are boosted, the tone transforms into a powerful, active sound with strong presence. This is a high-quality instrument that allows for noise-free and intuitive sound shaping!
