The American Vintage series was launched in 1982. Production ended in 2018, and its legacy has since been carried on by series such as American Original and American Vintage II. Even though it has been discontinued, the American Vintage series continues to enjoy unwavering popularity.
This guitar was made in 1995. It is a ’62 model that faithfully reproduces the 1962 Jazzmaster—a golden age for the Jazzmaster—featuring an alder body, a slab-jointed rosewood fingerboard, stacked knobs combining volume and tone for each pickup, and reverse-winding tuners, perfectly recreating the specifications of that era.
The standard, quintessential JazzBass sound. True to the alder/rosewood combination, it delivers a rich, resonant low-to-midrange tone, vividly expressing everything from the attack when picked hard to the cutting nuances of bends and slides.
This is a guitar that goes beyond just being well-balanced—it lets you fully savor the true essence of the Jazz Bass!
