Explanation
"I’m looking for a 1959 Les Paul that will last a lifetime, but I’m not quite satisfied with the grain or sound of the standard model." "I want to experience the tone and look of the Double White PAF—loved by legendary guitarists—in a modern-day instrument." To all you guitarists who refuse to compromise on even the smallest details and seek only the authentic: aren’t you searching for the ultimate instrument?
Powerful tiger-stripe grain, that distinctive vintage character, and above all, the Double White pickups—which haven’t been produced for a long time due to trademark issues. Finding the ideal Les Paul that combines all of these elements is a daunting task. We fully understand the frustration of not being able to find that perfect instrument, especially when you have such high standards.
To bring that ultimate ideal to life, we placed a direct order in Nashville for this special 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue. Its greatest appeal lies in the top-grade R-Top figured maple top, hand-selected on-site. It boasts a breathtakingly beautiful grain pattern not typically found in standard production models. Furthermore, it features a deep-joint construction and strong hide glue bonding, just like the models from the 1950s. The increased contact between the wood allows the body and neck to vibrate as one, producing superb tone and sustain.
This instrument is packed with unique, special features that make it one-of-a-kind in both appearance and sound.Supreme aging and exquisite finish. Featuring ultra-light aging that recreates the look of a vintage guitar that has been carefully preserved. With an aniline-dyed medium cherry back and a Gibson logo in mother-of-pearl that has aged to a perfect amber hue, this guitar leaves room for you to develop your own authentic character as you play it.
Powerful tone with ultimate practicality. To embody the powerful image established by Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page’s Les Pauls, the double-white pickups have been upgraded from Alnico 3 to the stronger Alnico 4 magnets. Combined with open-bobbin design and increased windings on the bridge side, this delivers a superb tone that’s a pleasure to play—featuring clear bass and crisp high-end response.
Featuring carefully selected R-Top wood and custom-made Double White pickups, this model’s unique combination is made possible only through direct ordering. This is the guitar we want those who seek authentic sound and historical significance—and who won’t settle for a mere replica—to own.
A look that matures the more you play it, and overwhelming potential. The moment you plug it into an amp, a smile will involuntarily spread across your face—please experience this supreme sound for yourself.
