Explanation
The rising star of 70s PrecisionBass!
Born in 1951 as the world's first solid-body electric bass, the Precision Bass. Needless to say, modern music as we know it wouldn't exist without this instrument. The Precision Bass has undergone slight design changes over the decades since its release.
This 1978 model features an ash body and rosewood fingerboard. It sports a natural finish with distinct grain patterns and a black pickguard. The finger rest is not original; it was added later.
The neck date is 78. The body date is unclear but is likely also 78. Both the pickup date and pot date are 78.
It delivers the tight bass typical of a heavy ash body, yet the rosewood fingerboard provides a noticeable stickiness in the mid-low range!
