An early 1950s J-200N with a natural finish exuding elegance
Gibson / 1953 J-200N
A stunning vintage J-200N exuding elegance.
The body has developed a lovely amber patina that enhances its vintage presence and exudes charm.
The natural color of the spruce top allows the distinct variations in grain to shine through, creating a beautiful effect.
The sides feature gentle maple flame, and the grain on the back displays a rich, expressive character, making it truly lovely.
A pickguard featuring floral engraving is installed, adding a touch of elegance. The bright tone of the pickguard material also matches the amber hue of the body exquisitely, creating a refreshing look. The finish has aged to a uniform yellow color, and it remains in excellent condition with no chipped dots or significant loss of the pattern.
The bridge is made of reddish Brazilian rosewood.
Doesn’t it pair perfectly with the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard?
The tuners are original gold Kluson no-line models.
They also complement the stinger on the back of the headstock beautifully—it’s simply irresistible.
The neck features a subtle flame pattern and has a fat, 1950s-style grip.
The sound delivers the rich, deep bass characteristic of the early 1950s, along with a well-balanced, full resonance. The well-defined, open tone seems to express the instrument’s visual beauty through sound.
Whether it’s the looks or the sound, this is a first-class instrument.
It truly demonstrates just how special a natural J-200 can be.
