-Synchronized tremolo bridge! Floating Adjustment Course! Part 2

Tuning is out of tune even after tuning..,

I want to arm up but can't...,

What is floating? etc.

Stratocaster is the most orthodox model, but if it is not adjusted properly, the tremolo will not be effective.

There are various types of bridges, but the ones that can be adjusted in this course are A and B.

Floating means floating! In other words, the bridge is floating from the body.
To make it float, the tension of the strings and the springs on the back of the body are used to balance it.
This allows the bridge to be armed up (raised in pitch).
Click here to see models that can be used with floating arms.

The most important part of the floating adjustment is the spring on the back of the body.♪This spring is used to balance the tension of the strings.
The number of springs is generally three.

Click here to see the Fender Strat that created the three springs flow.

Step 1

When the bridge does not lift off the body when tuned, it is called a sticky state. Tighten the two screws on the back of the body so that the bridge sticks to the body when tuned. This is the starting point.

Step 2
Loosen the screws on the back of the body about one turn. The spring will loosen and the tuning will drop slightly. (If it does not go down, loosen the screw further.) When tuning again, the bridge will gradually float.

Use a highly accurate tuner to get a firm tuning!

Step 3
Loosen the screws > Tune > Loosen the screws > Repeat the tuning process to make the bridge float about 3mm, and when the tuning is stable, the floating adjustment is complete.

Now you have mastered floating adjustment!

Three pieces, hanging on the river

This is the basis of everything. Simple is best!

One-sided diagonal hanging

Considering the difference in tension between the 6th string side and the 1st string side, hanging only the 6th string side at an angle strengthens the spring tension and stabilizes tuning when arming!

Two strings, hung in the shape of the letter "C".

For those who string thin gauge strings. For you who are good at technical playing with a soft touch!

For those who play with 5 regular strings.

By hanging 5 springs, the tension of each spring is weak. The vibration of the strings causes the springs to vibrate well, giving the most beautiful sound.

Han's 5 springs

This is the setting of a man who tightens 5 springs to the limit and never allows them to float. The best setting is to put them on solidly!

Of course, we also offer health checkups and settings for your instruments!
