[Features & Appeal]
The agile response and resonant tone characteristic of traditional Silky trumpets.
The HD (Heavy Design) series retains this appeal while being designed with a greater focus on ensemble harmony.
Conventional models, due to their brilliant and open sound, could sometimes give the impression of being slightly too prominent in certain ensembles. The HD series clearly addresses this point.
By increasing the wall thickness of the mouthpipe and slide tubes, excessive resonance is suppressed. This lowers the sound’s center of gravity, shifting it toward a tone with greater density and stability. Furthermore, the bell has been changed from the conventional seamless construction to a traditional manufacturing method. The size has also been revised to create a more cohesive sound image and enhance blending with the surrounding ensemble.
The S33HD features a slightly slender bell with a gentle taper. It maintains excellent responsiveness while producing a rich, full-bodied sound that retains clear articulation. As a result, it preserves the comfortable playing feel characteristic of the Silky series while delivering a tone that blends effortlessly into orchestral and wind ensemble settings.
This instrument was designed not only to “resonate” but also to “blend” seamlessly.
This model embodies Silky’s new direction.
