It all started around October 2023.

Around this time every year, there's a certain event at our company.

 

While we were pondering what to do for it, a certain Mr. Tomita reached out.

 

 

 

"Koyanagi-kun from Guitar Repair recommended you, so Kikuchi-kun, we'd like you to play drums in our band. Nice to meet you! 😄"

By the way, Kikuchi had almost zero drumming experience.

He only touched them for a few minutes during a trial session with the middle school wind ensemble club.

 

When practice started, it was so bad his hands and feet kept moving together ...

Still, through a month of practice leading up to the performance, he somehow managed to learn to play the drums...

 

I got hooked (lol).

 

Drums are so much fun!!!!

 

It really is more fun when you can do more things!

Plus, since drumming uses almost your entire body, it's great exercise!

I've actually gained a little weight lately (whispering)

 

Right now it's just sticks, but maybe someday I'll get my own snare drum too_(┐「ε:)_
