It’s already August 2026, and summer is really in full swing now.
It’s time for my band T-shirts to shine.
Every time summer rolls around, I’m glad I bought those live tour T-shirts, haha.
And speaking of August, there’s only one month left to enter the 6th Custom Guitar Contest!!
Time really flies.
It feels like it was just a few weeks ago that I filmed the video announcing, “We’re holding the Custom Guitar Contest again this year!”…
Come to think of it, I’ve been involved with the Custom Guitar Contest since the 3rd contest in 2020.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing so many custom guitars packed with passion and love, and every time, I’m amazed by how uniquely individual each one is.
And then, it suddenly occurred to me.
“Come to think of it, I have a custom guitar myself.”
This is my Squier Mustang!
Actually, I’ve featured it once on the TCGAKKI YouTube channel, but when I checked, I was shocked to realize it’s already been four years since then.
It’s a Squier I customized in the style of Kurt Cobain—I swapped the pickup in the bridge position for a humbucker and forcefully installed a Tune-O-Matic bridge!
Since Mr. Hoshino from Advance Guitars also wrote on his blog the other day that he “submitted an entry using his custom guitar”…
I think I’ll give it a try too!
Whenever I post videos or announcements about the Custom Guitar Contest, I always say, “Entering is easy!!” butI’m sure many of you are wondering, “How do you actually do it?”
So, I’ll walk you through the process of how to enter while showing you the entry screen!
This time, I’ll try entering using my smartphone!
First, go to the special page for the 6th Custom Guitar Contest at the URL below.

You’ll see a section titled “How to Enter,” so click “Click Here to Enter” below it.
Clicking that will take you to the “Custom Guitar Contest Entry Form.”
The form has fields for “Name,” “Username,” “Phone Number,” “Email,” “Title of Entry,” “Description of Entry,” and a place to upload images of your entry!
Fill out the form in order!
*You may leave the “Nickname” field blank if you prefer.
Your entry description can be as short as a single sentence or as long as you like! Please write about your passion and dedication to your instrument!
When uploading photos, you can either take a photo on the spot or use one you’ve already taken.
If you’re uploading multiple images, it’s easier to use photos you’ve already taken.
Once you’ve filled out everything, click “Submit.” When you see the “Submission Complete” screen, your submission is all set!!
How about that? Pretty easy, right?
If you’re still on the fence about entering, I hope this helps.
You can enter as many instruments as you like, with any modifications—so please submit as many entries as you can!
The entry period runs until August 31st!!!
