Hi, this is Oda!
We’ve just received a new shipment of six MGBass Guitars—a brand for which TCGAKKI serves as the official distributor!
These are basses specially ordered by TCGAKKI,
and we carefully selected every detail—from the number of strings, scale length, neck and body woods, pickups, preamp, and hardware—from over tens of thousands of possible combinations!
The result is a collection of basses that make a strong impression both visually and sonically.
In addition to the Infinity and Extreman models we received last year, we’ve also selected new models like the Africa, Desert, and Wavebird.
We’d like to share the unique charm of MGBass with you!
Infinity 5-String
The 5-string Infinity features a spalted maple top!
With an ash body and maple fingerboard, it delivers a natural attack and a sound characterized by a strong, punchy response.
Just like other MGBass models, the low-B string produces a clearly defined tone, making this bass perfect for slap playing!
Be sure to enjoy the crisp, organic punch that’s hard to find in so-called “high-end Basses”!
Extreman Headless Natural Quilted 5
A razor-sharp sound! The headless 5-string Extreman!
Thanks to its unique body shape—with a deep cutout on the treble side—it offers the best playability in the high frets of any model in the MGBass lineup.
Capable of both supporting an ensemble with deep bass tones and handling chord work in the high frets, this Bass is surprisingly versatile despite its appearance!
Extreman 5 Strings
A powerful 5-string Extreman featuring beautiful reddish-brown padauk!
A clear sound with a wide dynamic range!
Equipped with a J-type front pickup and an MM-type rear pickup, it delivers well-defined tonal contours and offers an overall exquisite sense of balance!
Africa 5-String
A 5-string Africa with eye-catching burl wood!
Combined with Nordstrand’s straightforward sound, it delivers exceptionally well-defined tone, the reliability to play even fast passages stress-free, and the versatility to adapt to a wide range of genres!
WaveBird 5 Strings
The 5-string WaveBird features a 35-inch scale!
With a walnut body and maple fingerboard, this guitar offers a crisp, clear attack while delivering the enveloping low end characteristic of its single-cut body shape—a truly captivating instrument.
Its looks are sure to catch the eye of high-end enthusiasts!
Desert 6-String
With the contrast of its double-top design and the grain of the ziricote fingerboard, this 6-string bass is as beautiful as a work of art!
While it fully showcases the warmth of the wood, it features minimal unwanted harmonics and excellent sound separation. This results in a clean, uncluttered sound where the pitch remains clear even when playing the low registers on the 6th and 5th strings.
It’s not just beautiful—it’s easy to play and offers a versatile tone.
This instrument truly embodies the MGBass philosophy.
