I’m going to jump right into something personal here, but even though I’ve been playing Bass for 1⚫︎ years, I’ve never owned a Precision Bass.
And ever since I started working at TCGAKKI and began living surrounded by instruments every day, I’ve found myself thinking:
“I really do want a Precision Bass.”
Personally, I prefer the sound of ’60s Jazz Basses, but when it comes to Precision Basses, the ’70s models are great too. I wonder which one would be best.
Just as I was thinking about that—maybe my wish came true—
we’ve actually just received several 1970s Fender Precision Basses!!
And not just any three—they’re all different in era, specs, and color!!
(What should I do! I want them!!)
Honestly, I’d love to keep them all to myself, but this time I’d like to introduce them all to you at once.
1972 Precision Bass
White body with a rosewood fingerboard.
And the body is made of alder!
1975 Precision Bass
Natural finish with a maple fingerboard.
Despite its ash body, this is an ultra-lightweight model weighing under 4 kg!
1976 Precision Bass
Sunburst finish with a rosewood fingerboard.
The black pickguard gives it a cool, classic ’70s look!
These three models each have their own distinct character, even within the 1970s lineup.
