Most of you will probably be thinking, “What’s that…?” but some die-hard brass players are bound to start grinning… I hope…
To put it simply, a silver-plated mouthpiece
turns out like this.
This black plating finish gives off a subdued sheen and really makes the instrument stand out in terms of coolness.
Combined with the satin finish on the body, this photo gives it an even more sophisticated look.

...I think it’s about time we got to the main topic.
With this ruthenium plating, the low volume of orders from the factory combined with the high cost makes it difficult to process just one or two mouthpieces.
So, we’re launching a campaign where we’ll set a specific timeframe to gather interested customers and have the pieces plated collectively at a reasonable price. The details are as follows:

⚫︎Overview
We will apply a ruthenium plating to your brass instrument mouthpieces. (There is no limit on the number of mouthpieces per person.)
Please bring or mail your mouthpieces to our store by the end of May 13. If shipping, you will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs.
We can also handle slide tubes, woodwind ligatures, and other items, so please inquire on a case-by-case basis.
⚫︎Turnaround Time
Items will be returned in early June.
⚫︎Price
14,850 yen (tax included) for all mouthpieces
A separate charge of 1,540 yen (tax included) applies for satin finishing.
For items with severely rough surface plating, a separate polishing fee may apply.
⚫︎Important Notes
If fewer than 5 applications are received within the specified period, it may be difficult to process them at the above price.
In that case, we will consult with you individually, and you may choose whether to proceed with the work or cancel.
