Rock Eric Clapton Eric Clapton Tears in Heaven

The key of this song is A. First, the bass line E→F♯Start with the bass line E→F→A.

In order to make the melody sound attractive, the bass note of A should be extended with a lot of width. If the bass note is cut off too soon, it will sound tasteless.
There are many different chord forms for A, but the 5th, Root, and 3rd (2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings on the 2nd fret)
Hammering and plucking of the melody part in the first bar becomes easier.
Now it's time to keep the balance between the bass note and the melody! Be aware of when to release the notes and make chord changes.
In the video, the chord is held down as if the thumb is clenched in. This form...once you get used to it, it is quite easy to handle. If you are not good at Seher, try it. I'm not good at Seher, so this is my style.

Martin 000-28EC

Eric Clapton's signature model released in 1996.
There are numerous musicians who love Martin 000 (Triple-O).
This model is different. The nut width is 44.5mm, the same wide neck as OM (Orchestra Model).
Herringbone is also used for the rosette, and Clapton's signature inlay is on the fingerboard!
The small body and short scale make it easy to play. It is perfect for fingerstyle playing!

Rock version Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven

You must have heard this phrase at least once. This song is dark and in a minor key.
The chord progression is Am→AmM7→Am7→D→Fmaj7→G→Am.
The point of this phrase is to descend semitone by semitone from the 7th fret of the 4th string (La).
Just by changing one note, the chord also changes as Am→AmM7→Am7.
Play slowly, one note at a time, with a strong sense of the chord.
Fix the strings you play with your right thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers so that they don't get jumbled up.
D to Fmaj7 is a simple chord; Fmaj7 chooses the stylish M7th (major seventh) note with the first string open!
For the G→Am part, use four fingers to strum the chord. Repeat this for the intro. You can rather repeat it forever!

Martin D-28

The photo shows a 1976 D-28, which Jimmy Page played in open tuning.
Jimmy Page also played some songs with open tuning, and he loved to use D-28 on the live stage especially after 70's.
It is cool to see him strumming an acoustic guitar while sitting on a chair!
The robust bass and lustrous treble from the D-28 (dreadnought).
This is a masterpiece representing Martin that has given birth to many great songs!

POP version The Beatles The Beatles Blackbird

The unique three-finger technique is played with the thumb and index finger. It is difficult to play it the way it is actually played, so you can play it with three fingers!

This is a very important skill for arpeggio-centric fingerpicking.
This phrase feels like the open third string (G) is always ringing.
The bass note is like playing with the belly of the thumb, and the melody is like softly nailing.
At first, I think the fingers you play will be jumbled up, so after you get the flow of the bass notes.
Add the notes of the melody. Rhythm is the other important thing.
It is quite a difficult phrase, so learn it slowly and without rushing.

Martin D-28

Pictured is a 1967 Martin D-28, late 60s, Hakaranda sideback.
John and Paul bought a brand new D-28 in 1967.
The following year, Paul wrote many acoustic tunes for the famous album "The White Album".
The following year, Paul wrote many acoustic songs and recorded them on the famous album "The White Album". The classic songs "Blackbird" and "Mother Nature's Sun" are included on the album.
The Beatles would not be complete without the D-28.
In January 1991, Paul also performed on MTV Unplugged, a live show featuring top-notch artists.
played the D-28 for all the songs.

POP version Masayoshi Yamazaki Celery

This phrase uses a percussive technique. He tapped the strings with his fingers and played "Sucha".
sound by striking the strings with the fingers. The chord progression may vary from player to player.
Amaj7→Amaj7(onF♯) → Bm7 → D7(9th).
The second bar Amaj7(onF♯) in the second bar creates a delicate atmosphere.
This phrase adds a 7th (Seventh) note to the major chord to create a fashionable feel.
Like Bm7, just adding one note from the basic three chords can completely change the atmosphere.
D7 (9th) is easy to hold if you lay down your ring finger and segue it.
You can find some videos of the arrangement on YouTube, etc., so please refer to them for reference.
The difficulty level is a little high.

Gibson J-45

Speaking of Mr. Masayoshi Yamazaki, this is a J-45 in an austere sunburst color.

I have heard that he bought a 1957 Gibson J-45 when he first moved to Tokyo.
The sound is clear, resonant, wild and persistent. The chord sound is also beautiful and gorgeous.
It goes well with blues as well as delicate and fashionable songs.
A masterpiece representing Gibson! It has a bit of a quirk in its sound, which is another charm.

POP version Michelle Branch Everywhere

I want a "gari" sound, so I play it with a pick! Of course, you can also play fingerstyle!

First, I put a capotast on the 1st fret.
The key to this phrase is to emphasize the Root note!
The chord progression is Am7→C→G→G. First, let's talk about the arpeggio,
Basically, most arpeggios have a regularity.
For example, you can play a C chord, then play the 5th string (do), 3rd string (mi), 2nd string (do), 3rd string (mi), and so on... Practice with simple patterns first.
As you get used to it, you'll get the pattern!
The hammering bass movement in this song is cool, and if you emphasize it, the whole song will be "crisp" and tight.
The last G chord part. In the video, the bass line is made from C to B.
Adding your own arrangement will change the atmosphere of the phrase and make it more interesting.

Gibson 1968 Hummingbird

Speaking of Michelle Branch, Hummingbird!
The photo shows a 1968 Hummingbird. The weather check of the whole body is too dignified.
Narrow 40mm neck with rosewood saddle, adjustable & screw down pickguard.
The finest specs for Gibson fans! Hummingbird has a unique breadth of sound, doesn't it?
It has a solid sound that spreads out with a "whirr" feeling. The lingering sound of the pick stroke is addictive.
The sound is full of overtones called "honey tone. The stylish pickguard with a hummingbird on it is symbolic of this tone.
