Explanation
"I want one guitar that delivers expressive tones from blues to fusion." Even if you think that, few guitars can achieve both the crispness of a solid body and the warmth of a semi-hollow.
Solid bodies offer a defined sound, but sometimes lack mellowness. Semi-acoustics, while known for their warm tone, can feel lacking in response and projection when overdriven. For players crossing genres, striking this balance is always a challenge.
The Fender Japan Robben Ford Model, a signature guitar crafted by Fender Japan for renowned guitarist Robben Ford. This model features a chambered body construction, combining a spruce top with an alder back to achieve both rich resonance and excellent responsiveness. It further features a maple set-neck construction with an ebony fingerboard on a Gibson-scale (314mm scale). This provides just the right tension and smooth fingering. Hardware includes Schaller tuners and a Schaller bridge, ensuring stable tuning and a reliable component setup. Two regular-sized humbucker pickups are installed. Additionally, the tone control features the proprietary TBX system, enabling a wide range of tones from the powerful sound characteristic of a solid body to a mellow, deep sound reminiscent of an ES-335. A rare model from the Fender Japan era, no longer in production.
While showing signs of use like dings and scuffs, it remains in player's condition and is still a capable instrument. This special model combines Fender's signature character with semi-hollow expressiveness. Take this opportunity to try a piece rarely seen on the market.
