TCGAKKI and the in-house repair team at Advance Guitars are looking for someone to handle repairs and adjustments

Even if you’re told you’ll be a “repair specialist at a secondhand and vintage store,” you might still have trouble picturing exactly what the job entails.
You might be worried that, even though the title is “Repair Specialist,” you’ll end up spending half your time on sales or being asked to handle both roles...
However, the job at “TC-TUNE” is “creating TCGAKKI products.”
Every instrument sold at TCGAKKI is repaired, adjusted, and inspected by TC-TUNE. Although we’re called “repair staff,” our work isn’t limited to simply fixing instruments.
We are a specialized department dedicated to bringing instruments up to the standard befitting “items sold at a used and vintage specialty store.”
Of course, we also repair instruments belonging to customers who shop at TCGAKKI. It is precisely because we possess the skills to prepare instruments for sale in a specialty store that we can repair and adjust our customers’ instruments to such a high standard.
Thanks to the high quality of TC-TUNE’s repairs and adjustments, our sales staff can confidently recommend instruments to customers. Furthermore, when purchasing instruments from customers, it is precisely because of TC-TUNE that our staff can confidently offer high buyback prices. I believe that providing peace of mind to both customers and staff is the true joy of TC-TUNE’s work.
This is the kind of experience only “TC-TUNE”—the repair specialist for “TCGAKKI” and “Advance Guitars,” specialty shops for used and vintage instruments handling over 2,500 transactions annually—can provide.
You’ll gain experience that you simply can’t get working as a sales and repair staff member at a major music store or at a small private workshop.
I want to work with the instruments I love! But haven’t you ever been told, “If you turn your passion into a job, the pay will be low”?
Even in the music industry, you often see job postings that say, “Turn your passion into a career” or “Make a living doing what you love.” But relying solely on your “passion” to make a living might feel a little unsettling.
At TC-TUNE, we believe that “turning your passion into a career is a given, but making a living from it” is what truly matters. If you think, “It’s inevitable that my career will be unstable because I’m doing what I love,” you’ll have to endure hardships just to pursue your passion. Eventually, you might even come to hate what you love. That would be truly sad.
Personally, I’ve been able to make a living through repair work, get married, and start a family. Because I don’t have to make sacrifices in my daily life, I’ve been able to actively pursue various efforts and gain experience, which has allowed me to accomplish much more in my work.
TCGAKKI Overall, the mindset that “instability is inevitable because you’re doing what you love” is a dead end. It makes it difficult to attract top talent and hinders the company’s growth.
To make it possible to “make a living doing what you love,” our entire company strives for daily growth and pursues sustainable profits.
If you’re a repair technician who wants to “make a living doing what you love,” please feel free to contact us. The easiest way to reach us is via our official LINE account or the chat feature at the bottom right of our website. We look forward to your application.
Don’t you have the impression that working at a music store means few days off and a lot of overtime?
A friend who works at a major music store told me that they have few days off and a lot of overtime—sometimes even working on New Year’s Day.
But TC-TUNE is different. Our philosophy is different. “The most important thing in work is ‘planning.’” Finishing your work within the allotted time is what earns you recognition as a top performer.
Furthermore, we place great importance on “spending the last 30 minutes of each workday planning for the next day.” This, too, is part of our preparation for the next day. Rather than dragging out work, we focus on finishing the day’s tasks efficiently and well. And when it’s time to rest, we rest thoroughly. This is the TC-TUNE way.
Since our actual working hours end at 8:20 PM, you can catch a train from Shin-Okubo Station as early as 8:30 PM to head home. You’ll make it in time for the supermarket in front of the station to close, so cooking at home is a breeze.
Furthermore, the entire TCGAKKI group is closed for the New Year’s holidays from December 31 to January 3. You’ll also be able to fully utilize your paid time off. A culture where “people who finish their work on time are valued” is deeply ingrained throughout the company. This may be a rare corporate culture in the musical instrument industry.
If you’re someone who works efficiently and with a good work-life balance and values your personal time, please feel free to contact us. The easiest way to reach us is via our official LINE account or the chat feature at the bottom right of our website. We look forward to your application.
